Watch your conceptual metaphors as a form of mediation and meta-thinking.
What conations do you use? How do you talk to yourself?
Examine the conceptual metaphors you use. Are they the most conceptual metaphors you could be using?
That's okay if you feel that way. But sometimes it's not useful.
EG: Anxiety as an opponent vs anxiety as a friend can HUGELY change how you choose to deal with it. Anxiety as an opponent can make it seem overwhelming. Anxiety as a friend can make it seem like it's giving wrong advice as friends often do. But at the end it's not weird or unnatural, it's looking out for you. Anxiety as unnatural disease vs anxiety as natural warning light. Anxiety as unnatural disease means there is something wrong with you. Anxiety as natural warning light means that your warning light maybe fires a little more than other people, but it's completely natural. You just have to train it to understand what is a warning light. This allows you treat anxiety with empathy.
